What are they?
First-Year Integration Grants (FYI grants) are designed to help first-year students become involved in planning a personal learning experience, and exploring a vocational or avocational interest tied to Indiana. The goal of FYI grants is to increase retention, enhance learning and increase the likelihood that students will be meaningfully and intellectually connected to Indiana beyond graduation.

How are they funded and in what amount?
Through a grant from the Lilly Endowment, FYI grants will direct resources specifically to first-year students. The FYI grants provide funds to first-year students and give them control and responsibility for allocating resources towards developing and exploring ideas or programs relevant to them and their interests. FYI grants demonstrate a commitment to each student's learning as he or she designs it from the very beginning.

Grant values range from $50 - $500.
