A letter from the Assistant Director of Greek Life:
Dear Hanover College Parent:
Having recently joined the Hanover College community myself, I am pleased to welcome your son or daughter to our campus. I am sure they will find it to be as welcoming, dynamic, and supportive as I have in my first year here. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the nine Greek letter organizations at Hanover as well as Panhellenic and IFC, the Greek governing councils. Our community has many challenges ahead of it, but continues to be a vital part of our campus dedicated to providing our members with an engaging and beneficial experience.
Greek life can be a strong enhancement to your student's college experience; exposing him/her to our surrounding community, academic assistance, leadership opportunities, and networking avenues. My Greek experience was a true highlight in my college career and continues to add much enjoyment to my life, as I am sure is true for many of our Greek members. As a professional working in the field, I believe that the Greek community is one of the best leadership laboratories a college or university has to offer.
I hope you will take the opportunity to learn about the Greek community here at Hanover College, and what we have to offer your son or daughter as they grow and develop over the next important four years. I hope this site will aid you in understanding the benefits and goals of our Greek community, however if you have additional questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact me. I can be reached at walters@hanover.edu or (812) 866-7081.
Sincerely,
Deanne S. Walters
