SUMMER HOUSING APPLICATION
Print this form, complete it legibly, and then submit to the Office of Student Housing by May 11, 2008 in order to be considered for Summer Housing. Summer Housing space is limited to students who are working for or with the College or one of the Centers, international students or students working locally on internships.

HOUSING EXEMPTION REQUEST
s a residential campus, requests for exemption to the policy are reviewed on a case by case basis and must meet the following criteria. This request must be submitted prior to the deadline.

MEDICAL ACCOMMODATION FORM
Room assignments are the responsibility of the Office of Student Housing. When students are ill or have a disability, Health Services may be asked to assess the nature and severity of the illness or disability and recommend special housing arrangements. College Health Services will recommend special room assignments only after reviewing adequate documentation of absolute medical necessity.

MEAL PLAN EXEMPTION FORM
Living on-campus is a basic expectation for students at Hanover College, part of that expectation is using the established meal plan provided through the Main Dining Room, The Underground or the Shoebox.  Exemptions to this policy are made only when the meals served exacerbate a medical condition currently under care by a doctor and this exacerbation has been established and documented.

HOUSING BILL APPEALS FORM
Fees/Fines Appeal Process
Fees/Fines are issued for abandoned items in halls or houses, damages to the halls or houses, restitution, extended stays, early arrivals and Residential Administrative fees, fines or charges.

An appeal should be based on the premise that the Fees/Fines is inconsistent with Hanover College Residential policies and procedures, or that the fee/fine is inaccurate or issued in error. An appeal must be filed prior to the listed due date on the bill mailed from the Business Office.

Appealed fees/fines are placed on hold until the appellant is mailed or e-mailed notice of the decision.  No additional fees will be added, and payment is not required unless the bill is upheld (at full or reduced fine).

A notice that a fee/fine is dismissed requires no further action on the part of the appellant.  The process may uphold a fee/fine at either the current monetary level or at a reduced level. Payment of an upheld fee/fine is required by the due date set in the Decision letter. Failure to remit payment of a reduced fine will result in that fine reverting to its original level, in addition to any late fees that have been accrued during the appeals process.

You may file an appeal on-line, by mail, or by dropping a copy of the Business Office bill and the written appeal off at the Office of Residential Life. In all cases your appeal must be received in the Office of Residential Life prior to the listed due date on the Business Office bill.  The following information must be included with the appeal, regardless of the method of submittal.  Incomplete or illegible appeals cannot be processed.

  1. Attach a copy of the Business Office Bill
  2. Name
  3. Hall and Room Number
  4. Statement explaining why the bill should be waived
