Effective January 10, 2005 Health Services began an appointment system.
If you are sick, please call extension 6102 to schedule a time to be seen.
Routine injections will continue to be given on a walk-in basis.

SERVICES offered in our Health Services office are:

  • Treatment for acute and chronic illness or injury
  • Health prevention and wellness
  • Suturing and wound care
  • Referrals for specialist services
  • Allergy shots and immunization clinic

FEES:

  • You are charged only for medications, not for services rendered.
  • Prescription and over the counter medications dispensed in Health Services are billed, at cost, to you on your student account. (Faculty and staff must pay for medication at the time of service.)
  • Allergy injections are provided free of charge.

RESOURCES:

  • Health related pamphlets, charts, and videos are available in Health Services.

CLINIC HOURS:

M, T, R, F 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
M - F 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

After hours and for emergencies, please call Security at extension 7999.

Required Immunizations for Matriculation to Hanover College:

The immunizations listed below are REQUIRED for attendance to Hanover College.

DPT/OP (Diphtheria, Pertussis and Oral Polio)
Indicate series was completed in childhood. Typically, five dates for DPT and four for OPV.

Hepatitis B
Series required!
A series of three shots required -- must have started series prior to arrival on campus.

Varicella (Chicken Pox)
Must have recorded date of disease or date of immunizations (a series of two injections).

TD (Tetanus and Diphtheria)
Adult dosage must be within last ten years.

MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
Dates for 2 doses, or proof of confirmed disease, or immune titer.

TB Skin Test (Tuberculin)
Must have within last 6 months with recorded results. 
NOTE:  All international students must have a recent chest x-ray. You must bring the chest films with you and a written radiology report.

Meningitis
This is NOT a requirement, but is highly recommended.

Hanover College immunization requirements are based on Indiana State Law requirements, recommendations from the American College Health Association, and the Center for Disease Control.
